Madoff's Done Nuthin' Compared To Our Very Own GovernmentPosted by Nalini Indorf Kaplan in The Economy, Retirement, Managing Your Money, Investment Reform |

In trolling for the most thought provoking insights about our money, I came across an intriguing article highlighting Social Security, Medicare and the current Universal Healthcare initiative sponsored by the Obama administration as....drum roll please....
PONZI SCHEMES.
That's right. The very scheme that Bernie Madoff pled guilty too last week is what columnist Craig Cantoni is calling two of our largest social programs.
What do you think?
Do you know what happens to your social security and medicare tax dollars that are taken from each of your paychecks?
Let me tell you...
There is no such thing as a Social Security Trust fund in fact. The Treasury collects that money and mixes it in with all sorts of other collected funds where Congress decides what to fund.
Be afraid, be very afraid.
Sadly, it's the next generation or two that's going get hurt by this pay off early retirees plan. Because they won't be money for your kids' retirement.
Get mad. Call and write your congressman/woman. Tell then you want them to clean up their act too so we have a respectable and most importantly, a viable public retirement program. And, let your voice be heard that you want universal healthcare to follow suit.
